The crisis in Yemen, one of the world’s worst humanitarian disasters, has left millions in dire need. Since 2015, relentless conflict has devastated the country, displacing millions and causing widespread hunger and disease. Over 24 million people, or 80% of the population, require humanitarian aid. Infrastructure is in ruins, with hospitals and schools destroyed, leading to soaring malnutrition rates and outbreaks of preventable diseases like cholera. Amidst the chaos, families struggle to survive in a cycle of poverty and despair. International support is crucial to provide life-saving aid and seek a lasting resolution to this devastating crisis.

In Islam, bread is not considered as just a basic food, but a highly respected source of nutrition and blessings too. Our Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) mentions that “The best of your foods is bread” due to its sheer ability to take care of a man’s body. To families who don’t know where their next meal will come from, we’ve made it our mission to make fresh bread accessible to them. The bread we supply is whole wheat which contains calcium, magnesium, phosphate, and vitamin B12.
Fresh Bread Thanks to your generous support, the Pure Hands team has been working diligently to drill and rehabilitate water wells, construct water networks, and set up water tanks. This has worked to provide great access to clean drinking water for the severely underprivileged. Attentively, we make efforts to alleviate the suffering of dehydration by making clean and safe water that much more accessible every single day. Known to be one of Pure Hand’s largest projects, we have made way across 8 governorates in Yemen and have touched the lives of over 90,000 beneficiaries in 2020 alone.

With your donation, Pure Hands provides children with the necessary financial assistance and basic healthcare to enable them to continue their schooling. This program secures support that helps these children’s families (usually a single parent) purchase not only food, but school supplies, clothing, and essential health care services.
